Barry Bonds Photo - Roid' BoyGood Bye Berry Bonds. I can’t wait till Barry is gone. I just can’t stand Barry’s pompous, roided, liar. He was a great baseball player. He deserves a lot of credit throughout his career, but that last handful of years were despicable. We all know he lied about drug use, we all know he shouldn’t have broke the home run record, we all know he doesn’t deserve to beat Hank Aaron’s record. At least he knows he’s a liar, even though he won’t actually admit it.

“I love the game of baseball itself, but I don’t like what it’s turned out to be. I’m not mad at anybody. It’s just that right now I am not proud to be a baseball player.” ” — Barry Bonds told USA Today

  1. Barry Bonds is a wicked good hitter. I don’t care what he took to do it, but he challenges pitchers in a way that no one else does. Hitting MLB pitching is probably the hardest thing to do in all of sports, and he’s by far the most successful of his time. ‘Roids don’t make you a great hitter, look at Jose Canseco, He was better before steroids. Did they help Barry? Most likely, but he’d still be amazing without them. I feel lucky to have been able to watch him play.

  2. Jeremy, cheating is cheating. Bonds isn’t the first to cheat, but he shouldn’t be given any credit for what he’s done while cheating. No better than Pete Rose, no better than Jose Canseco, Ralphele Palmero, or Ben Johnson.

And NO, hitting a baseball isn’t that hard, my 3 year old can do it .333 of the time.

Things that are harder than hitting a baseball; Barry’s pecks, bicepts, forearms, wanker, and ass.

  3. I didn’t say hitting a baseball, I said hitting mlb pitching…and if Ryan can hit .333 you should at least let him try out for the 66ers. Pete Rose and Rafael Palmeiro were really good too, Canseco is questionable but he had some good years, I don’t know Ben Johnson. Nevertheless, I’m just saying if Barry wasn’t on the Giants, I would never EVER watch them. I don’t know if he should be given an asterisk or if he should be in the record books at all, but the bottom line for me is this, I like watching him play.

  4. […] Another cheater in our midst.  I will admit, he wasn’t using a performance inhancing drug. Sources have told ESPN’s Hank Goldberg that Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams’ violation of the NFL’s substance-abuse policy is not a matter of a missed test. Williams has failed a drug test, the sources said, but the substance for which he tested positive is not known. […]
