A revised theory of ABC’s Lost

ABC's LostThe key to understanding numerous questions on the island is reincarnation. The “others” could be a wealthy religious minority (some people might call them a “cult” but if I had a following, they would know that I don’t like that word). They set up these experiments in the name of the teaching of the Buddha (aka Dharma), specifically samsara (the cycles of rebirth). The “others” have found a way to trap the spirits of the deceased, and then they inject them in animals (the frog, the horse, the bore) and also children (which is why the “others” go for children). Apparently it didn’t work with adults since Russeau’s group ended up getting “the disease”. I think those numbers are somehow related to the technology that is able to control these supernatural phenomena. It also explains how a science experiment could be done with no regard for its subjects’ well-being. Any legit science experiment would end once the first person died. But one conducted by religious adherents could value their experiments more than human life (especially if they believed themselves to control the spirits after the people died) I’m not sure if the plane actually crashed or not, but it doesn’t really matter because somehow the survivors are all connected to the spirits that the “others” are experimenting with.

Also it kind of explains the book “the turn of the screw” which is about ghosts affecting reality.

Anyways, this is just a theory, and it’s kind of complicated, but as far as I can tell, it’s the only one I know of that encompasses the science aspect, as well as the supernatural aspect of the show.

ABC’s Lost and some safe assumptions

Hurley1. There obviously at one point or another was a science experiment conducted on the island

2. Any member of the plane crash who has a back story can not be an other.

3. There is something mystical about the island…the numbers are proof of this, as well as Walt’s ability to create things like polars and birds

That’s about it. I’m not sure that the plane crash was real. The others are obviously kind of fake since they have access to drugs and fake beards, but who knows what that’s about, because they are bad too since Alex had to “save” Clair. Fact is, they have this whole thing planned out through season 7, and we’re in the middle of 2. It would be silly to think that we could fully understand their situation this early in the game.

Desperate Housewives

The problem with Desperate Housewives is that the chicks are all to old and flabby that have to be injected with a pound of botox which makes them, along with Nichole Kidman, look like big foreheaded aliens.  I want some hot chicks on the show.

Soldiers Want to Come Home (duh)

Antiwar propagandaThe Christian Science Monitor reported today that the majority of troops polled showed a desire to withdraw from Iraq within a year.  While at first glance this article may be surprising, as always you must look at it with slowly.  First off, look at the sourse: The Christian Science Monitor- a anti-war forerunner.  Even more biased is the poll which was funded by Le Moyne College’s Center for Peace and Global Studies.  Just look at the name and tell me that isnt biased.  Furthermore, Le Moyne College’s Center for Peace and Global Studies recieved its money for the project from an anonymous anti-war activist.  This article reaks of bias, and despite how polls make look offical, you can make a poll say whatever you want by asking the right question.  To contrast this, my personal experience with talking to soldiers, they all take the same position I expect.  They don’t want to be there, they hate it, but they know why they are there.

I must point out, even if it were true, I wouldnt care.  Marines are called Jarheads for a reason; they arent payed to think.
