Iraq Military Deaths- not so bad

I saw this post on snops.com- Military Deaths. And while I am beginning to notice an liberal bias in the writing on snopes in terms of their explanations- especially in dealing with Obama, the fact is they do provide stable facts to look at.

This is the latest tidbit I saw on military deaths.

Year President Deaths Total during presidency
1980 Jimmy Carter 2,392
N/A
1981 Ronald Reagan 2,380
1982 Ronald Reagan 2,319
1983 Ronald Reagan 2,465
1984 Ronald Reagan 1,999
1985 Ronald Reagan 2,252
1986 Ronald Reagan 1,984
1987 Ronald Reagan 1,983
1988 Ronald Reagan 1,819
17,201
1989 George H.W. Bush 1,636
1990 George H.W. Bush 1,507
1991 George H.W. Bush 1,787
1992 George H.W. Bush 1,293
6,223
1993 Bill Clinton 1,213
1994 Bill Clinton 1,075
1995 Bill Clinton 1,040
1996 Bill Clinton 974
1997 Bill Clinton 817
1998 Bill Clinton 827
1999 Bill Clinton 796
2000 Bill Clinton 758
7,500
2001 George W. Bush 891
2002 George W. Bush 999
2003 George W. Bush 1,228
2004 George W. Bush 1,874
2005 George W. Bush 1,942
2006 George W. Bush 1,858
8,792

So what do I find interesting about this?

The fact is, liberals have been giving crap about how terrible the Iraq war is. How many soldiers have died.  But when looking at the numbers, you can see how bad it actually is, or isn’t (relatively speaking).  During Clintons presidency, whose only form of ground combat included pulling out of Somalia, has a total of 7,500 in eight years.  Now compare this to the presidency of George W. Bush, who has been involved in two ground wars that have been going on for the majority of his presidency.  The grand total of military deaths is 8,792 in six years.  Lets be fair and add the deaths of 2007 and 2008 according to Snopes.  In 2007, the war deaths in the wars were 1,014.  So far the know deaths in 2008 is 100 at the end of March.  Multiply that number to give an estimate for the whole year, we get 400 deaths in 2008.  While this number is most likely going to be lower than the true number, we will work with what we got.

The estimated grand total deaths for W, will be 10,206.  Lets compare this number to Clinton. 10,206 compared to 7,500 shows that the amount of military deaths during Clinton’s reign is  about a 73% the amount  of W Bush’s reign.  While that is a lot, you need to realize that Clinton’s deaths happened in PEACE TIME, whereas Bush’s deaths happened in a time of MULTIPLE WARS.  Its not too shabby for W Bush.

When looking at the table, we can see the Bush senior had 6,223 in four years- if it was eight years it would be estimated at 12,446- that is 2,000 more deaths than W, during peace time (minus the 1st Iraq ass kicking), yet Bush senior never got any crap for it.  During Regan’s legacy there were 17,201 deaths, a huge amount of military deaths.  Granted Regan was noted for constantly kicking crap and being a badass, his presidency was not known for being in a continuous combat war (the cold war doesn’t count).  The point I’m making again?  Reagan didn’t get crap.

Carter had over 2000 deaths in one year, he was a freaking PACIFIST do nothing, yet he had more military deaths in one year than any one-year-totals for W Bush.  HE GETS NO CRAP!

Lets compare the American casualties of the Iraq war to other wars according to Wikipedia. 116,708 in the one year the US fought in WW1.  416,800 in the four years the US was involved in WW2. And the over 400,000 dead in the Korean War. 58,217 in the six years of Vietnam. At 4000 in the five years of the Iraq war, things don’t look so bad.

Bush has done a lot of things I don’t agree with.  The boarders and the lack of spending control come to mind.  But one thing that I think is not a blunder of his is the Iraq War.  I may be going against the fray, but I don’t really care what popular opinion is, I look at the numbers.

Obama the Communist Revolutionary

I saw this on a myspace post.  I don’t know if my friend is the actual author or where it came from.  But none-the-less, its an intresting outlook on Obama.  Something, that doesnt surprise me, but I’ll talk about that later.

Information about what Barack Hussein Obama actually stands for, besides “hope” and “change,” isn’t easy to come by, since he speaks in vacuous platitudes and doesn’t have enough experience to have left behind a record. But the clues are out there.

In his autobiographical Dreams from My Father, Obama writes of a father figure named Frank who apparently influenced him profoundly with his “hard-earned knowledge.” He acknowledges the words of wisdom “Frank and his old Black Power dashiki self” shared with him before he set off for college. This advice included not to “start believing what they tell you about equal opportunity and the American way and all that ****.”

This Frank guy in the Black Power dashiki is Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Communist Party USA, which received subsidies from the Soviet Union to advance its goal of destroying America from within.

Davis wasn’t Obama’s last contact with the radical Left:

Obama became a “community organizer” and came into contact with more far-left political forces, including the Democratic Socialists of America, which maintains close ties to European socialist groups and parties through the Socialist International (SI), and two former members of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), William Ayers and Carl Davidson.

The SDS laid siege to college campuses across America in the 1960s, mostly in order to protest the Vietnam War, and spawned the terrorist Weather Underground organization. Ayers was a member of the terrorist group and turned himself in to authorities in 1981. He is now a college professor and served with Obama on the board of the Woods Fund of Chicago. Davidson is now a figure in the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, an offshoot of the old Moscow-controlled CPUSA, and helped organize the 2002 rally where Obama came out against the Iraq War.

Given the circles Obama moves in, it’s hardly reasonable to expect his wife to be proud of America.

A radical on a communist website appraises Obama’s first primary victory:

Obama’s victory was more than a progressive move; it was a dialectical leap ushering in a qualitatively new era of struggle. Marx once compared revolutionary struggle with the work of the mole, who sometimes burrows so far beneath the ground that he leaves no trace of his movement on the surface. This is the old revolutionary “mole,” not only showing his traces on the surface but also breaking through.

If by some tragic lapse of national judgment Obama were to end up the White House, the Soviet Union would achieve its greatest Cold War victory nearly 20 years after its demise. But as with other mortal diseases, it doesn’t matter if the host dies — so long as socialism can find a new host to invade.”

Inland Empire Pool Guard

I’d like to congratulate my brother Ben, for successfully starting his own company; Inland Empire Pool Guard. It’s, of course, located in the Inland Empire, and it specializes in installing removable pool fences around pools. With all the laws these days concerning drowning, its actually almost a requirement to install a pool fence around your pool, with removable pool fences, you save a lot of money being that they are made of mesh rather than rod iron. also they can be removed, hence the wording “removable pool fences”, so if you have a party or whatever, you wont have a fence getting in your way. Anyway, I’m not a salesmen so if you need a pool fence, check out his website: InlandEmpirePoolFence.com

Al Jazeera in English

Ever wonder what they really talk about on Al Jazeera?  Well I came accross a site that translates it for you. Memritv.org aka the Middle East Media Research Institute. It’s fair to say, they hate us westerners, especially us Americans.  Here are two videos that show an Arab American arguing with Al Jazeera about why they want to kill.  There are also videos of clearics telling kids to be terrorists and such.  It is clear that they dont want to kill us because we are encroaching on them, they want to kill us because we are infidels.

More to come

I just took a look and it seems that I have been quiet for over a month.  That is because I havent been politically pumped lately.  Never fear, I just got a new book by John Stossel, I forgot the name, but it is a book that debunks american myths, such as outsourcing is bad and women earn less then men.  Crazy stuff.  Anyway, its pumping me up big time, so once Im done with this book, get ready for it.

Illegal Immigration Boycott – It’s Time America Stands Up

Today is the day that all the Illegal Aliens in America are going to boycott work in an attempt to display their importance to the American economy. While I doubt that it will hurt our economy, unless it turns into a riot, I am writing this because I am tired of being quite and letting criminals tell us how to run our country. I encourage you to take 5 minutes out of your day to also write to your senators and representative, you can simply copy and paste this message into an email. If you don’t know their email, here is a link to a Congressional Email Directory.

Dear Senator/Congressman,

I am an American, I vote. Right now, there are millions of people who snuck into our country and are demanding we pander to them. They do not pay taxes, they do not want to be a part of American culture and they funnel our money into Mexico. Yet they want the same benefits that Americans receive. They form gangs, make up a huge percentage of federal inmates, and have been transforming the south into an enormous barrio. They leave Mexico because it is so horrible, yet they wave Mexican flags at their protests. They even have the gull to change our National Anthem to incorporate themselves.

I have grown tired of this situation. Two thirds of the 12 million illegal immigrants have arrived here in the past ten years. Yet, Instead of building a wall, there are now discussions of allowing amnesty. I will not support amnesty of any kind. I do not believe in rewarding the criminals who have been breaking the law the longest. As for worker permits, I believe we already have a guest-worker program called “green cards”. I am in support of legal Immigration and I am in support of enforcing the laws that have not been enforced; the laws that American citizens, like the minute men, are forced to enforce because our government is too impotent, even in these post-9-11 days. Therefore, I will make a deal with you. Unlike these illegal immigrants, I vote. I will monitor your voting record. If you vote for any amnesty legislation, of any kind, you will lose my support and you will never receive another vote from me ever again.

Thank you for your time,
An American Citizen

United 93 – The most important movie of the Decade.

United 93I just went to see the movie United 93.  Many people are saying that it is too soon for a movie about 9-11.  But after seeing this movie, I believe it is a necessary reminder.  I remember 9-11.  I remember the anger and sadness that I felt.  I remember the immediate patriotism.  I remember the stickers on the back of cars that said “we will never forget.”  But sadly, after 5 years, we have already forgotten.  This movie reminds you of what really happened and the evil of terrorism.

This movie was the most intense movie I have ever seen; in fact I would even venture to say that it isn’t a movie to see for entertainment.  It is a movie to see for patriotism.  Hell, a movie to see in the name of humanity.   Throughout the movie, no one spoke at all.  When I looked around, all I saw were tears.  When it was over, I was in a cold sweat and the entire theater was as quite as a funeral precession.  That is the impact it had.

The Truth is, it reminds you of what happened.  A group of terrorists murdered Americans.  THEY ATTACKED US.  Why?  Because they think that the Crusades are still going on.  But instead of the Christians attacking the Muslim world.  It is a militant Islamic sect that is attacking the Western world.  We support Israel, so they murder innocent civilians.  We don’t believe in oppressing women and making them cover their entire body, so they think we are immoral infidels who let our women dress like whores.  We are different than them, so they hate us.  THEY STARTED THIS WAR, and like it or not, we, as Westerners, are stuck in it. Next time I see an anti-war protest, I’m going to ask them if they saw this movie.  It is your obligation as an American to see this.

Warcraft Funerals – Freak of the Week

warcraftAlright, here is the deal, I regretfully play World of Warcraft myself, but I found this video on a totally unrelated site. It cracks me up for two reasons, one- While its sad that someone died, The Warcraft nerds are actually having a funeral for an in-game friend. There is a procession line and all. Second, a rival faction actually attacks and kills them all during the funeral. Maybe I am an asshole like the guys who made this video, but I laughed through ut the whole thing. Its all one big bowl of ridiculousness. Here is the link to the video.
