Weakest Shelby Cobra Ever, The 1978 King Cobra

Filed Under (Society in General) by Jon on 26-02-2006

Since we have been slow to put anything on the website, I thought this Rock’n Shelby Cobra should be noted.

The King Cobra added garish spoilers, flares, air dams, and decals to the undesirable Mustang II hatchback. Power came from a pathetic 139 horsepower, 302-cid V8 engine drinking through a small 2-barrel carburetor. With just 500 King Cobras ever produced, they are extremely rare but are scorned by true Mustang enthusiasts. ESPN

Picasso, Dali, Matisse & Monet’s Works of Art Stolen!

Filed Under (Society in General) by Jon on 25-02-2006

Art thieves stole four of the worlds most famous painters’ work from the Chacara do Ceu Museum in Brazil. In what seams ironic, the men stole Pablo Picasso’s “The Dance”, during a festival, called the Carnical Commotion, running through the crowded carnival of dancing. Also stolen where Salvador Dali’s “The Two Balconies”, Henri Matisse’s “Luxembourg Gardens” and Claude Monet’s “Marine”.

“They took advantage of a carnival parade passing by the museum and disappeared into the crowd,” said museum director Vera de Alencar. - BBC

Million-Dollar Ferrari Crashes in Malibu

Ferrari CrashI dreamed I had a million dollar car and I crashed it, then ran away because I can, because I’m not dead.

“A driver lost control of a Ferrari sports car traveling 200 mph along Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu this morning, slamming into a power pole that cut the car — which sells for up to $1 million — in half, according to authorities. Investigators said they believe the driver was alone in the car and was engaged in a street race at the time of the accident. Erikssen told them the driver of the car fled on foot, but a search turned up no one, Brooks said.” - LA Times

Jesus rejected the American dream

    American Dream

The American Dream isn’t anything better than a self-centered concept of prosperity. For many Americans, myself included, it’s not even a possibility. I’ll have acquired too much debt after my schooling to ever have my own house with a yard and a dog and a family. Not that I really want it, but I’m at least aware that it’s not financially feasable for me. That in itself isn’t really that bad though. It’s no different than a devout existentialism, which isn’t that bad. What’s bad about the American Dream is that it’s so forced on us from a young age, that any alternative lifestyle is seen as deviant. Communal living, Monastic life, Chastity, and Hermitages should be reverred as pious lifestyle choices, but instead are frowned upon by society at large. Don’t believe me? It’s near impossible to become Pastor of a church without a Family

As far as Christianity goes, The American Dream is particularly evil because it presents itself as a reasonable compromise. I mean, part of the American Dream means going to church on sunday morning. Unfortunately, Jesus never asked anyone to go to church. In reality, the American Dream in no way relates to the life of service Jesus encourages. Not only that, but the emphasis on poverty in the New Testament is particularly contrary to the financial security of the American Dream.

Blessed are you who are poor,
for yours is the kingdom of God.
Blessed are you who are hungry now,
for you will be filled.
But woe to you who are rich,
for you have received your consolation.
Woe to you who are full now,
for you will be hungry.

Follow-up on L and C

Whether liberal or conservative, right wing or left wing, I stand on the side of common sense, hard work, you get what you have coming to you.  I’m tired of “I” - Idiots, Ignoramuses, and Independents.  I also think every spot in Government should have term limits!!!!  You show me a politician that has been in office for 10 years and I’ll show you someone who doesn’t listen, who like pork, and is lost in their own ethos.

Quick, question…

I didn’t feel like writing today, so I got a quick point, that you should all look at.  Liberal and laziness both start with an “L”.  Coincidence?  Just think about it.

P.S. Lameo, also starts with an “L”.  Think about it.  Coincidence?

Liberal Bigotry Towards Immigrants

Filed Under (Society in General) by Jeremy on 16-02-2006

border crossingHere’s the deal, illegal immigrants should either be punished here by sending them to jail, or at the very least, be sent back to their country of origin. If any form of government locates an illegal, it should be their responsibility to report that. It’s not racist or biggotted to say that someone who broke the law needs to be punished. That’s all that is, they broke citizenship laws and should be reprimanded justly for what they did.

People say that its inhumane since america is a more prosperous nation than wherever the immigrants may have come from. I disagree that it is inhumane, because that assumes that America is somehow better than where they came from. And even if its easier to make a living in America, that doesn’t mean its a better place. It’s so racist to say that someones home is somehow not worth living in, and that no matter where they go or what they do in their country of origin they’ll be less happy than they would be in America. If there is some sort of danger involved, wherein the immigrant flees for safety, that’s one thing, when they leave because they think they need more money to be happy, that’s not right. I think everyone knows that money is not happiness, lets stop pretending it is for immigrants.

Is poverty a huge issue? Yes, but the solution is not legalizing uncontrolled immigration. There are other options like investing in other nation’s economies, and relief efforts.

Impeach Bush Fanatics

Filed Under (Society in General) by Jon on 15-02-2006

I know people don’t like Bush, but impeachment? Those left wing nuts are crazy. Nothing Bush has done has warranted any of this. Just because his decisions are unpopular, doesn’t mean they are wrong, and it certainly doesn’t mean he is all powerful. One thing that is 100% true, Liberals are poor losers, angry that they lost power, and are wondering what to do with the next elections. They have gone out of their minds. I’ve decided to point out the type of person who would join the three wheeled bandwagons.

  • Didn’t play team sports as a child.
  • Believes that we “humans” are equal to animals
  • Thinks freedom is given, not won
  • Believes its alright to kill babies, but not to kill people in war
  • Thinks that lazy people should be supported by the hard workers
  • Defines teaching as promoting the teachers point of view
  • Believes the “Right” has control over the media, and is actually spinning it?  We all know that the media is biased to the left.
  • Believes that pleather isn’t leather - what the hell?  I wouldn’t wear a fox around my neck, but I sure wouldn’t wear a fake fox around my neck.

Dick Cheney Thinning the Herd.

Filed Under (Politics, Society in General) by Jon on 12-02-2006

Dick Cheney, guns, lawyersThis is great, our second Cowboy in Command, Vice President Dick Cheney, shoots a man while hunting. I think that the administration is doing the right thing by shooting every lawyer they see. This world should have fewer lawyers. The President George Bush has said on a number of occasions that we needed to “stop the trial lawyers”, I guess now they consider them terrorists.

Go get’m Dick!!
